“Prisoners come to prison as punishment, not for punishment” – this mantra has helped turn around a prison system. Songs of Redemption is a moving story of the rehabilitation of the inmates of the General Penitentiary in Jamaica. With riveting interviews and powerful Reggae music created and performed by the inmates and wardens, the multi-award winning Songs of Redemption reveals the transformative power of music within one correctional facility.
