Feature | Juan Taratuto | Argentina | 2013 | 93 min
Stoic and embittered, Eduardo is an obsessively efficient oilfield engineer. A phone call from his old friend Mario asking if he could look after his store while he has an operation, sees Eduardo reluctantly heading to help out.
An unexpected turn of events pulls rough-hewn Eduardo over the threshold and into the life of a suddenly bereft family who hardly know what to do with him.
Played out against the harsh, yet majestic Patagonian landscape, director Juan Taratuto finds beauty not only in the landscape but in its challenge: to make an asocial character human.
